ATR Type

Description Key Features Applications Downloads

Acrefine ATR type thrust restraints are designed to balance axial fan thrust load. They consist of attachment brackets, springs and fasteners. The brackets are manufactured from high quality structural steel.

ATR type thrust restraints are supplied as a kit that can be utilised for tension or compression loading. They should be used in pairs and installed at 9 & 3 o’clock position bridging the flexible duct connector.

Springs are designed with 50% overload capacity and the lateral spring stiffness is greater than the vertical stiffness to assure stability. All springs are colour coded for easy identification and to promote correct installation.

Key Features
  • Powder coated and colour coded springs
  • Load capacity up to 1555 kg (3429 lb) on standard range
  • Standard spring deflection of 25 mm (1″) or 50 mm (2″)
  • Field interchangeable springs
  • Can be utilized for tension or compression loading
  • Simple and cost effective design

Acrefine ATR type thrust restraints are recommended for fans that are installed on resilient mountings and fan thrust exceeds 10% of the isolated weight. They must be attached to structurally sound locations of the fan and duct work. Installation to bare or unreinforced sheet metal must be avoided.

ATR type thrust restraints are available in 25 mm (1″) and 50 mm (2″) deflection as a standard. The load range is from 50 kg (110 lb) to 1555 kg (3429 lb). For higher deflection and/or load capacities please contact us.
